Bethnal Green: Urban Resilience

An exploratory video of sustainable urbanism in Bethnal Green, London.

Thomas Deckker sets out the proposition that successful sustainable urbanism is a result of mutual collaboration and support in complex urban systems.

He notes that this is opposed to the well-known Abercombie 'London Plan' of 1944 and also to simple concepts of mutual exclusion in urban design, or 'single purpose' areas.
