This year we explored concepts of architecture and landscape at the scale of urban planning in the
Royal Victoria Docks on a site 2 kilometres long and 40 meters wide. As this project was too large to allow students to work with an individual space, we went to the opposite extreme of interior design in
a warehouse in Clerkenwell. The
Studio project was an investigation of architecture and landscape with plaster models. We firs investigated how spaces are actually used in the
Soho Study.
The Unit Trip was to
Switzerland: Snozzi and Zumpthor, with stays at the Unité d'Habitation in Briey and La Tourette by Le Corbusier on the way.
